i quit watching TLH ages ago (it just got boring to me, nothing else), but those of you celebrating this really need to get your priorities in line.

you're essentially celebrating people losing work in an industry that is increasingly in turmoil.

you should be ashamed if you're doing this.

It really is the end for the Western television animation biz, isn't it

The captain of the wrestling team would line everyone up and ask if you preferred niche sci-fi films like Star Trek that focused on world building or popular action films with sci-fi elements like The Terminator, and if you hesitated before answering he would administer a debilitating body slam

The staff of this site so desperately want the AI Crypto Libertarian Tech Dweeb userbase and they accidentally fell into the "I created this with my own HRT-soaked blood and sweat" trans userbase instead. And I think every day they curse that is beautiful.
I do this not to re-litigate what I think is a very funny block by a high-ranking member of staff but to dunk on somebody loving AI, which is maidenless behavior

Tomorrow, I'll be releasing a special new product on Patreon that answers the question: when an MGM cartoon first hit theaters (or in its reissue), what was the main feature presentation on the program?

the trouble with the execution for cartoon network is it was commercial/for-profit from the jump. a platform that celebrates the diversity of animation as an art form would ideally run more like pbs or the bbc (not for-profit, no ad breaks). the government should fund dexter's laboratory.

Sora 2 apparently cost something like $5 billion to run every year and so far made OpenAI around $1.4 million.

If we don’t test there’s no Covid.
If we don’t track jobs numbers the economy is good.
If we don’t show polling numbers Trump must be making America great.

Thankfully reality isn’t kind to those that ignore all their problems.

Neither is history.

This Art Carney ripoff character spouting a Jackie Gleason catchphrase is some lazy-ass, mixed-up reference comedy.

I am an anti-anti power scaler.

“What matters is the story!”

Yes, and for a story to be good, it needs to have internal logic. It is possible to tell a good story where the weaker party wins through luck, cunning, the power of friendship, etc. but you need to have a sense for a fight to sell it.

Can you believe that the same studio that made the amazing "Once Upon a Studio" made *this*? Sorry, but I just can't get past the recycled animation, obvious dubbing and the inherent cheapness of it all.

Reminder: In July 2025, Trump’s DOJ claimed they had completed an “exhaustive review” of the Epstein files and there was “no basis” to charge anyone else with wrongdoing.

Bondi and Patel reiterated these claims under oath in congressional hearings.

Blanche and top DOJ brass toed the line.
