Murphy and AOC probably have the most comprehensive and predictive understanding of what's happening and where it will go than damn near anyone else in the Democratic Party.

I really thought someone was going to take the bait and get used as their pretext for declaring martial law last summer. I'm glad they didn't. But it's why they're escalating to murderous demonstrations of their impunity now.

I find myself wondering whether the number of high profile DHS murders it would take to move a meaningful number of Republican in Congress s lower than the number it will take to terrify them into compliance. Everyone will have an opinion or a feeling. I sure do. But it's not hypothetical now.

It never fails to amaze me how I recognize the way Republican politicians reason because of how closely it tracks how I thought about political issues when I was 12. Not ideologically, but the self-propagandization, facile Manicheanism and airy dismissal of complexity? Yeah, that's 12 year old me.

I'm going to need someone to explain to me why the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension can't run it's own investigation even without immediate access to the scene or the FBI's notes. They obviously could. It seems to me like it's imperative for them to do so. What is actually happening here?
