Judge William Alsup said it's likely fair use as transformative. Judge Vince Chhabria said it's likely infringing because of the supposed impact on the market. Both rulings came out of the Northern District of California, both involve thoughtful judges with solid copyright track records, and both can't be right.

1) unnecessarily damaging relations with a neighbor and ally

2) reflects a real acceptance of/enthusiasm for territorial conquest, relevant to US policy towards Ukraine-Russia, Israel-Palestine, etc.

One reason why I think respectability is stupid is because it's often used as a mask. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes themselves, but more often about the bodies beneath them. To wit, no one raised an issue when Elon wore a graphic t-shirt and ball cap to meet the Trump cabinet.
