I will be attending the nationwide protest in Salem this Sat at noon.

One of the ways we resist authoritarianism is to Stand Out. Standing out can feel uncomfortable. It’s easy to stay home. If you’re feeling frustrated, scared, angry about what Trump is doing to America I invite you to join us.

Had the best time at Reed Zine Fest hosted by the Reed College Library. So many talented creators, storytellers, and artists. Leaving so inspired and with a boatload of zines and stickers 😤

Everyone should be able to retire with dignity. I’m supporting a bill to expand Social Security benefits by $2,400/year while extending the program’s solvency.

Congressional Republicans should join in—but they're focused on tax breaks for billionaires and billionaire corporations.

Everyone who called so far this week- you ROCK

A staffer said that the reasons lines were hard to get through "was a result of the Senate phone system which has a normal call volume is 30-50 calls per min, was getting 1200-1500 calls per min." Calling is the method right now.

Well played, President Claudia Sheinbaum, for committing troops already at the border since 2021, knowing perfectly well President Man Baby would have no idea and take it as a win.

Packed town hall for Marion County with US Senator Merkley and Rep Salinas

Dems are in the minority and need folks to put pressure on more GOP leaders (like Speaker Johnson) to decide all this chaos is harming working Americans.

Be loud. Call your reps ✊

Beautiful, snowy hike this morning ❄️🌲

No wind and big flakes meant the forest was completely quiet. Just the softness of the snow seemingly falling in slow motion. I sat under a hemlock tree and felt the stillness.

I think it already is.

But seriously. Don’t call them names. We want the door open for them when they realize the mistake they made.

We are for a better America. Not a vindictive America

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Trump’s illegal action today impacted the healthcare of both Republican and Democrat working families.

Impacted housing for both Republican and Democrat veterans.

It’s not right vs left. It’s up vs down. Trump and his billionaire oligarchs vs everyone else.

Unite the working class.

Sunny and productive work day in the garden. We did a bunch of weeding before topping our pathways with wood chips. Organized the plant stakes and passed Buddy’s thorough sniffing inspection of all the work. Daffodils and tulips are starting to peek out of the ground 🌷🌷🌷

Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.

Good morning 🌅

Remember to rest today.
Remember we are always building democracy.
You can see this point in time as a finite rock bottom, or the ground floor to build what it needs to be.

We can only do this together.
We need each other.
Our humanity connects us all.

Just have to say that the $Trump meme coin is a gift to all of us who are not fans of his.

It’s just a matter of time until a lot of people lose money from this.

I’m a crypto fan. This is not crypto any more than Madoff was just buying and selling shares of stock

Today is MLK Day—and his story is a powerfully important reminder that if we channel his courage, we are able to make change.

The work goes on to make his dream of racial, social, and economic justice a lived reality. I’m committed to that fight.
