There's a russian narrative cultivated within it's neigbouring countries I've seen since my childhood. "The current tzar is the best one for you". Why? Because other options would be unpredictable and lead to your destruction. This narrative applies to russia as a country, too. But it's not true.

I've noticed that ICE agents keep yelling "18 USC § 111" at people filming them. I'd like to see the memo they all got on that talking point, and I'd like to know who sent it. Filming ICE or alerting your neighbors to their presence doesn't violate § 111.
