Table 1 Typology of traps, how they can be avoided, and what goes wrong if not avoided. Note that all traps in a sense constitute category errors (Ryle & Tanney, 2009) and the success-to-truth inference (Guest & Martin, 2023) is an important driver in most, if not all, of the traps.

Long but required reading. It occurs to me that maybe Hinton et al sounding alarms about regulating AU may not be terrified of AI per se but rather of the techbros they see around them.

Twitter était bien, j'y ai peu écrit mais beaucoup appris, pas mal ri aussi. X promeut lourdement une vision du monde qui ne me correspond pas du tout. J'ai décidé de ne plus y participer d'aucune façon. Sur Bluesky depuis quelques temps déjà, j'espère y écrire plus, j'y apprends déjà beaucoup.
