A good news for today! :)
BREAKING: Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife has made a “transformational” donation to the LGBTQ+ advocacy group. This large gift comes just months after the Trump administration shut down counseling services for queer youth.

My latest for @wired.com:

My Instagram account briefly got deactivated for a suspicious activity. I wonder if my account was one of accounts in the Instagram data breach that happened recently.

I mean Government of Canada and their politicians still actively post on X instead of switching to BlueSky, Mastodon, or freaking Threads. 🤷🏽‍♂️

#cdnpoli
The concept of posting “Canada is not considering a ban of X” as a QUOTE of your post condemning deepfake sexual abuse happening **ON X** of women and kids………….
January 11, 2026 at 6:28 AM
I still can't believe this is happening.

The US government also threatened the UK government if they bans X over these inappropriate features from Grok.
I keep thinking about how a young woman DoorDash driver was charged and hauled into court for recording and posting evidence of her customer sexually harassing her, while nothing is happening to the droves of men using Grok to sexually harass women and children. The institutions are pro-perpetrator.

Not only this is classist, it is also ablest and agest.

How did Transport Canada Agency allow this?

"People We Meet on Vacation" goes to Canada at one point, but the film was never filmed in here.

Typical. 😂

Canadian Federal Government Department is indirectly aiding fascists and their allies by still updating on Twitter.

Why haven't they switched to Mastodon or BlueSky yet? 🤦🏽‍♂️
Today's a GREAT day to delete your Twitter account. Yesterday was better, but...alas.

Just like anything violence and gun involved there, no resistance against these kidnappers and murders. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Disabled people experience loneliness not bc we’re misunderstood. Not bc non-disabled ppl don’t genuinely care to try. It’s ableism-fueled ostracism.

And GPT-whatever-the-fucks aren’t even in the same galaxy as solution(s). They’re scratchy, plastic fibers in the weave of technoableism.

LLMs seriously need to add safeguards for vulnerable folks and stop profiting from them. Why the heck are we so behind with regulating AI?

These replies from ChatGPT are horrible.

A country is taking off freedoms and spreading dictatorship. Now they are invating another country to "free itself from a dictator and give freedom".

They allowed LLMS to profit from vulnerable folks and sexist and racist wolves.

Now they are allowing LLMS to make contents without victim's consents?

I am not against AI or LLMS, But this lack of regulation and allowing billionaires ruin our society is disgusting.

Agree, I couldn't believe how some were keep filming even as the fire was spreading. In one video, people were filming from outside while participants were struggling to escape.

Luckily one guy kicked a side door down and saved a woman from inside.

Unbelievable.
There's an extremely disturbing video of people dancing inside the Swiss bar while the fire spreads. I get that there were probably a lot of intoxicated people there on NYE but there must have been at least a few people sober enough to scream GET THE FUCK OUT BECAUSE FIRE.

Some Palestine demonstrators are putting up flags and signs on display during CBC New Year's Eve coverage. A good reminder!

Also I am glad we allow the rights to protest and demonstrations even though it is not perfect.
