After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Manchester's mayor freezes bus fares at £2. A bus ride in London is £1.75, and you can even get two buses within one hour for that price. A bus ride in Birmingham costs £3! I know there are many different reasons for it but affordable public transport really matters

Wealth in the UK is extremely concentrated at the top: over half belongs to the richest 10%, while the richest 1% control over a fifth by themselves. But the bottom half of the population – nearly 34 million people – have less than 1/20th between them. This is bad for all of us. It has to change.

Wow the International Criminal Court apparently lacks jurisdiction & "infringes on US sovereignty" by investigating crimes against humanity & the gravest crimes under int'l law.
