How come a sitting president can sue an individual, but an individual cannot sue a sitting president?

President Obama: "When I was president, I suppose I could have simply unilaterally ordered the military to go into some red state and harass and intimidate a governor there or cut off funding for states that didn't vote for me... but that is contrary to how I think our democracy is supposed to work"

This flew under the radar, but it shouldn’t have.

When senator Alex Padilla was tackled by DHS, Kristi Noem’s side piece, Corey Lewandowski, was orchestrating the situation in the hall.

If this country was truly “pro-life,” we would have Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, gun reform, universal child care, and a living wage.

The right-wing agenda isn’t about “life.”

It’s about control.

A key topic at @munsecconf.bsky.social: Ukraine. I joined Yulia Navalnaya, Thordis Kolbrun Gylfadottir, and Benjamin Haddad for a conversation with Ali Aslan about where the conflict stands.

I believe the attempt to force Ukraine to agree to a capitulation agreement with Putin is a disgrace.

My law firm is now litigating 85 voting and election cases in 40 states. This is the largest number of cases in the most states we have ever handled at one time. And, while Big Law firms mostly sit idly by, the need to protect elections in court is only growing.

The New York Times reports that the Department of Homeland Security has sent Google, Meta, and other media corporations subpoenas for the names on accounts that criticize ICE enforcement. The department wants to identify Americans who oppose what it’s doing. I’ll save them time.

The corporations are on the side of the fascists

"Administrative subpoenas...come not from a judge but from DHS itself.

The users were targeted because their posts “criticized ICE or pointed to the locations of ICE agents.”

I just heard someone say on TV that use of the term "concentration camps" to describe ICE facilities was "very strong language."
I think ICE's concentration camps are very strong abuses of human rights.

Resisting is about what we’re for: the radical idea that we are responsible for one another. When we show up for our neighbors, we build a network no policy can tear down. True strength isn't at the top; it’s in our streets and our homes. Stay loud, connected, and look out for each other.
