I have never been a "both sides are the same" person (and I'm still not), and I've repeatedly and grumpily voted for the lesser of two evils, but I'm genuinely not convinced that Newsom would be an improvement over Trump.

I have a couple of Canadian friends who've invited me to visit, and I'm sorely tempted to throw a bag in the car and go before the border closes

Ever experience your computer running godawfully slowly, and it turns out that's because there's some process running in background which is hogging CPU cycles? That's my brain, using up all its processing power to say "don't post that... nope, not that either... nope, nope, more nope"
