Bluesky is great but simply does not have the same reach and networking potential yet. If you're in a position where (for example) the wellbeing of a bunch of rescue animals depends on your ability to fundraise through social media you don't get to have the luxury of quitting Zuckerberg.

If you can leave facebook, instagram, and threads that's great, but a lot of non-profits and indie creators have no choice but to stay for promotion and fundraising. Just try to remember that when making grand declarations of disgust and condemnation aimed at everyone who keeps using meta. 🧵
