DOJ leadership has put all Public Integrity Section lawyers into a room with 1 hour to decide who will dismiss Adams indictment or else all will be fired. Sending them strength to stand by their oath, which is to support the Constitution, not the president’s political agenda. 🇺🇸

This is a great new law... unfortunately, I imagine it's not going to move forward considering Trump is defunding Medicaid

Senator Murphy lays out exactly what is on the line.

"  There was a promise made to finance this tax cut with two trillion dollars of cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. Medicaid, poor kids, poor families, Medicare, seniors in this country."

Hands Off Our Medicaid!

Remember back when we thought it would require Congress, and, you know, laws and shit, for our government to destroy Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid?

We were so cute back then.

It's likely China. Donald Trump is using a flight system made in China in his jet. Can you guess why he wouldn't want to tell MAGA that?
Trump on Air Traffic Control: "When I land in my plane, I use a system from another country, I won't tell you what country, because the captain says our system is so bad and obsolete."

How do we get GOP and Trump supporters to understand this???? Or is that what they want? Hmmmmmmm

@wired.com is doing some amazing writing on the hostile takeover of America. This is one of their latest.
A teen DOGE staffer recently given access to government systems worked at a startup known for hiring convicted hackers. Someone using a Telegram handle associated with him also solicited a cyberattack-for-hire service in 2022. All raising questions about his vetting. www.wired.com/story/edward...

Experts question whether Edward Coristine, a DOGE staffer who has gone by “Big Balls” online, would pass the background check typically required for access to sensitive US government systems.

Anecdotally, the Dems’ attempt to enter Treasury on Tues broke through to the public in a big way.

At least according to..the Mom-o-meter.

My Mom before Tues: You’re doing what? Where? This can’t be a national emergency.

Mom on Tuesday: WHO ARE THESE KIDS AND WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH MY MONEY?

Shut it down. Lock him up. Save our Democracy.
Murphy: "We need to act like a real opposition party in the middle of a constitutional and democracy crisis. That means we should not be moving forward nominees or legislation in the Senate. Ds should not be giving votes to nominee or legislation in the Senate until Rs get serious about this crisis"

Ami, gets me... and probably you too! I had to take a two hour nap today just to make it through.
The cognitive dissonance of getting up every morning and making coffee and walking the dog and going to meetings and answering emails and wondering what to make for dinner while there is a real live actual coup d’etat happening is BONKERS

Seth is right. Chris Murphy is right too.... we are quickly approaching a point where we will not be able to reclaim our Democracy.
I know all of us who understand what is happening are experiencing mental health challenges because of that.

The only message of comfort I can offer to this community of readers is this: you are correct.

What you think is happening is really happening, and is just as concerning as you think it is.

Get creative people
I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons
