Hey, haven’t talked to you in years, but found myself in Oxford, and was thinking about day tripping to London. Any “can’t miss” things to see, other than the usual? Hope all’s well, cheers.

damn, looks like I'll have to re-learn how to actually be social, instead of simply re-posting or commenting on nerdy shit I'm into. This is gonna be weird for me.

I sometimes use bing, but accidentally scrolling btwn chat & search drove me nuts until today. This script just changed that. You’re welcome. https://www.reddit.com/r/bing/comments/11f1yb6/solution_to_stop_accidentally_scrolling_down_to/

I'm not big on TikTok, but I found an ascetic Tibetan monk that plays singing bowls in a unique way w/ *insane* mastery of harmonics. Watch if he's on live (usually early and late, he's on now at 8:30EST). https://www.tiktok.com/@baoyixin01/live?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc

Are any of y’all into the generative AI art wave that’s hitting so hard right now? What are you doing, and what tools are your favorites?

Still very much a work in progress, but this feed shows you the most recent post from each person you follow (currently sorted roughly by when you followed them)
It takes a little while on first load because it has to cache all your follows.

Feedback desired!

Seems like many of the more useful chatGPT plugins are giving me rate-limit errors. :(

We’re working on an open network for algorithms that essentially means anyone can create one. Then you’ll create or use the one that fits your vibe. Won’t need to be a programmer but devs will be able to get right in there if they want.

Same with moderation.

My interactive BSky Reply-based Social Graph is complete! I'll update it somewhat regularly since the graph grows based on all posts coming from the firehose. It takes a few seconds to load since there are thousands of nodes and > 10k edges: https://bsky.jazco.dev/ ( @pfrazee.com )

My Twitter feed is full of devs, engineers, designers, scientists, doctors, and lots of other highly intelligent, tech-oriented folks. I want to recreate that here. If you’re one of these, and/or know some, please lemme know. Cheers! Looking fwd to contributing!

If Bluesky succeeds, it will be because of account portability, and the developer ecosystem that evolves around the AT Protocol.

The concepts around big and small world features tell me they know what they are doing and have a plan to scale this thing.
