“ICE doesn’t actually have that money yet. Congress still has to pass an *appropriations* bill before DHS gets the funds, & that means getting 60 votes, not 51, in the Senate...[it] remains a bipartisan affair, and that can have a highly moderating effect. statuskuo.substack.com/p/democrats-...

Where is the business community and corporate leaders of Minnesota based companies in speaking up? Why aren't the big law firms sending lawyers to represent the people being attacked?

"THE DOMESTIC TERRORISTS ARE ICE."
“The notion that [Trump] claims this is somehow making the country safer is absurd. It’s making the country more dangerous. The domestic terrorists are ICE. It’s hard to believe we have a criminal president running a lawless government trying to intimidate the people of this country through force.”

Ridiculous!
i'm not saying this as anyone who knows anything about health; i'm saying it as someone who is an alleged expert in interest group politics: the American beef industry is all over MAHA, wellness, and podcast spaces.

remember "bacon mania?" totally a marketing strategy by the pork industry.
New federal dietary guidelines give federal approval to beef tallow, a fat that both cardiologists and the U.S. government told Americans to avoid for nearly half a century.

This is exactly right.

They haven't settled for dim brutes who blindly follow orders regardless of the law. That's what they want. That's what they got. There's no reforming or improving it now.

Democrats need to investigate, defund, and ultimately disband the president's brownshirt brigade.
People might argue that ICE is not recruiting quality agents.

But I would insist that they are in fact successfully recruiting the exact sort of person needed to carry out the mission: reactionary, angry, violent people who don’t believe in democracy.
