I understand there are unhealthy versions of this thinking but i think in a culture where no one wants to be corny/ cringe, and people want to do the absolute least in exchange for care and affection, I see how and why there's a desire to feel wanted and even, needed.
Please add in “I want someone obsessed with me.” Those phasing scream unhealthy and unhealed
