Thanks Alemanno for summing up in one Oped how @eppgroup.bsky.social and far right
fabricate a scandal, delegitimise and defund organisations, then criminalise their new funding as foreign influence, all while continuing to demand NGOs services for consumer protection & digital rights enforcement.
How NGOs die

This is Europe's playbook for dismantling democracy

On #WorldFoodDay, the EU Commission should take note: farmers & cities across Europe prove food can be grown without pesticides 🌱

A fairer, healthier food system is possible. Time for policies that support it!

We have 5 days left to tell lawmakers why clean food, safe working conditions and our nature needs our voice against toxic pesticides #ProtectMyPlate
🍽️ Food concerns everyone, so do the rules that protect it. If the EU rolls back food & pesticide laws, we all lose: our health, nature, clean water

We built these protections together over time. We have 7 days to defend them.

Who has the many speeches where Ursula swore simplification was not deregulation? Was not last time just a month ago for SotUE?

Dropping the pretence, then, I see.

The protection of our food, soil, and water from harmful chemicals is a necessity, not a burden. Take few minutes to tell this EU lawmakers before 14 October
🗣️Raise your voice for safe food & nature free from toxics!

The EU Commission wants to roll back vital food safety protections. We've 14 days to speak up.

This proposal is incompatible with farmers' rights on seeds, and would simply legalize biopiracy by allowing the extension of the scope of patents to native seeds. This will only benefit to patent-holding multinationals, at the expense of European farmers, small seed breeders and agrobiodiversity

Indeed, farmers reject the EU-Mercosur agreement and the unfair competition it will bring to farmers in the EU and in Mercosur countries! But farmers also oppose the proposal to deregulate new genomic techniques, which want to impose patented GMOs without any traceability and labeling
