The Russian I mean Trump regime’s attack on our access to the news goes deeper.

Republicans aren’t content just to defund NPR and PBS. They’re going after their licenses too.

Get rid of Republicans, not information.

It’s the evidence at the center of Comey’s case.

These kind of people never stop at “I think the evidence shows Jeffrey Epstein was murdered, I don’t find the evidence he committed suicide convincing.” They always race past to “EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME IS EVIL MINE IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE CONCLUSION.” Big fat sacks of personality disorders.

Yeah, ultimately it comes down to the fact that moderation is basically impossible to implement properly at scale, but I’d rather have the few protections that 230 offers than get rid it it entirely without a solid plan to replace it while still protecting free speech

This is, uh, not a smart move. Section 230 has its flaws, but repealing it without having an *extremely solid* plan in place to replace the protections for free speech it offers is tantamount to banning the LGBTQ+ community and others from public online spaces.
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

Q: At the end of this year, those extended Obamacare subsidies expire. What's your message to those 24m Americans who will see their premiums go up?

TRUMP: Don't make it sound so bad. Obviously you're a sycophant for Democrats. You're obviously a provider of bad news for Republicans.

Everyday Americans get nickel and dimed while the rich dodge taxes.

They struggle to get by while the wealth of the 1% skyrockets.

They see their voices drowned out while the well-connected avoid accountability.

There are two sets of rules in America: One for the rich. Another for everyone else.

I once refused a powerful antibiotic because it carried a black box warning about tendon effects. This is just the dumbest thing
There are reports that the FDA intends to put a “black box” warning on COVID-19 vaccines.

This is not in line with the science, which shows that COVID-19 are safe and have saved millions of lives.

This would be a serious abuse of power by FDA officials to further antivax political goals.

the idea that by mistreating you someone is able to induct you into a conspiracy of silence where you can't publicly share what they have done, lest they experience consequences from third parties disgusted by their actions, is deeply perverse
i also believe in building a better world for workers. i also believe that all people are entitled to respect and dignity and that there ought to be social sanction for those who openly degrade others. you call me a “n*gger” to my face and i am not going to smile and shake your hand.

My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”
It must be wild to get to abuse the public then pay for it with the public's money
