One thing I don't understand about all the ai bs is that it is more work & hardware to do it that way and still get it wrong, because none of these "tools" are built well, than it is to have standards and expertise. But the latter requires valuing people and their labor so I guess I do understand.

I'm surprised it's taken this long. I've done a lot of reports and been interrogated about the meaning and provenance of the numbers more often than not, and this can't do anything to satisfy that because it's making it up.

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn't circulate online but in person.
Anyway I've put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines:

#food I blended Scottish oats (practically powered, I softened with hot water), coconut shred, a blood orange, and blueberries with a squeeze of ginger lemon juice and I regret the coconut in this form factor but everything else is fine. Wish I'd put in a dash of salt also, and a tiny bit less water

Interestingly enough, B.F. Skinner and radical behaviorism (this includes O. Ivar Lovaas as his Applied Behavior Analysis) *did* believe this and it's foundational to radical behaviorism, which has dominated everything here in the U.S. for about a century.
Do the people who claim genAI is alive also view humans as mere dialogue units that spit out similarly vacuous text in response to prompts? What kind of P-zombies are they hanging out with? Do they even have a theory of mind?

I recently learned that Stripe will contact you and demand to know if you've been helping Cuba in any way while using their services, and if so can you prove you haven't used them for any transaction related to that.
