The evolution of "vibe coding production software as a non-dev" the last few months

Success stories do exist... ones I see all come from people who are/were software engineers

Learning to code / build software not a waste after all?

The songs that say "rock and roll never dies", "heavy metal alive", "metal forever"... has an issue: we listeners of that genre already know that. You should make pop, electronic etc songs to spread the news. My two cents.

With AI tools growing, gitlab is more and more forgotten.
Ex: Claude Code commands are named after github; issue/fix/label.
Ex 2: Cursor mention git commit/diff flow automatically asks for github access.

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

GitHub MCP suffers from the lethal trifecta for prompt injection: access to private data, exposure to malicious instructions + the ability to exfiltrate information

Be really careful with this stuff: attackers can trick your "agent" into stealing your private data simonwillison.net/2025/May/26/...

We need a smart AI API, that integrates ALL AI providers, when you send requests with costs limits (time + money), understands the use case, proxy it to the best model. Should adapt to newly announced models in a day or two + have sticky session (consequetive calls go to same model)

End of an era
Wow: after 15 years, YouTube has taken down the original 'Rick Roll' video due to a "licensing issue," likely due to the acquisition of Astley's record lable.

The metadata remains, but if you click through it goes to 'video not found':
