Like many others on here, we suffered the ignominy of having a Farage leaflet posted through our door. (They will be getting it back in annotated form...) It stated that Scotland needs Reform. Yeah, like a fish needs a Fender Stratocaster. We need reform (lower case r) into an independent republic.

Exactly this. When I was a civil servant I spent quite lot of time on what was called “stakeholder management”. But it was always obvious that corporate capture, lobbyist capture and consultant capture were far bigger issues. And Starmer’s Labour is a lobbyists’ party through and through.
