The Trump language around Canada and Greenland starts to approach a sliver of coherence if you read it through the lens of this essay. Though that coherence would mean that he has accepted that the changing climate is real. Or he’s just a monkey throwing shit around his cage.
A "Great Reshuffle" of land is underway, driven by shifting populations and climate change. Experiments in new forms of property rights and ownership will have to go mainstream to manage it equitably.

One thing that is fairly clear at this point is that the entire point of whisking people out of the country with no due process in defiance of a judge's orders to put them into a foreign gulag *was so they could produce fascist content*.
