The President is lying about Social Security as an excuse to gut Social Security after promising not to touch it.

Why? To pave the way for more tax cuts for the rich.

What he said about Social Security payments has been repeatedly debunked - so the question isn’t whether he’s lying about this, the question is why.

What is this a pretext for? He and the GOP have long shown interest in going after Social Security. What are they going to try?

It's not necessarily the most important part of today's Oval Office debacle, but Vance suggested that Zelenskyy has never thanked the U.S. for its support — and that's demonstrably ridiculous.

This new reporting is a very big deal.

The previously reported number for the amount of money Elon Musk has gotten from the government—us—was slightly over $18 billion.

We now know the figure is $38 billion.

When you consider how much of Musk's wealth is actually liquid—very little—that is a ton.

Why am I NOT surprised to see that House Republicans are pushing ahead with their budget plan to cut TRILLIONS from the budget at the expense of American people? CUT Medicaid, CUT food programs for our seniors and children.

They’re just looking out for their billionaire buddies.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is the latest federal agency to be hit with DOGE layoffs.

That's the same agency that has investigated crashes involving Tesla's self-driving cars.

This was never about "efficiency."

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

When Trump was sworn in, Elon Musk's corporations were under more than 32 investigations conducted by at least 11 federal agencies.

Most of the cases are now closed or likely to be closed soon, and the federal agencies are being defanged by DOGE.

Funny how that works, huh?

Hey everyone, it’s a Coup. Name it for what it is.

We have a duty to disobey orders that violate law. If the courts say don’t do it, that’s a pretty good indication.

Most of us are not being asked to violate law, some are (e.g., financial assistance, Civil Rights and EEO laws).

Never forget that Trump was the culmination of 40 years of stagnant wages, widening inequality, corruption, dog-whistle politics, and economic gains for the rich.

If we fail to address this, we should expect future Trumps as far as the eye can see.

More projection from this clown. Just because he couldn’t do it doesn’t mean others can’t. Not every job requires office space.

Musk is specifically, targeting those government agencies that are investigating him for safety violations and ties to Russia.

Reminder: he said he would go to prison if Trump didn't win.

The irony of his own information system (Grok) providing a list of those violations, is priceless. ⤵️

Let's say there's "waste" and "fraud" in the government.

Well that’s why every department had an inspector general to find and stop it.

But guess what? Trump fired most of these independent auditors who should be insulated from politics.

None of this is about waste and fraud.
