As a California native and vacationing as a child in the Owens Valley just up the hwy from Manzanar, I would never have known about the Japanese internment and the many concentration camps, if my wife’s mother wasn’t born there…

2 nights ago I saw the moon illuminate the mountains across from Auke Bay in this spectacular golden glow. I hadn't seen the moon over Juneau in weeks. I attempted to recreate it with the various markers I have. Kinda giving impressionists style vibes :]
