I’m slowing it up, downgraded to a C-120 last fall but she has the mighty O-235 mod ;)
If you can, be there for the pre-buy inspection, you will learn a lot about your new bird, where to look for trouble spots etc.
Not being directly involved is like buying sight unseen.

‘An airplane’ covers a lot of territory. I’m a late stage A&P so I get asked to do pre-buys, my specialty is the DHC-II / III but any light single from a T-crate to the Caravan. It’s a winding road for sure, plenty of dishonorable souls, thankfully the good sellers show.

Finally nailed down an engine squawk on my 120: a brand new plug out of spec… still want to get 25 hours on her, I’ve got three right now, but I’m thinking some kind of mono tone empiange in black like it’s eating the whole tail, then leaving the rest all faded scruffy moss and lichen spotted

I can live on these, but to honest they went from being made with lard to vegetable oil aboit 15 years ago and are not the same.
Still, a layer of butter and some smoke-fish… food of the gods!
