Sitting here parked at the top of the hill overlooking my small Alaskan village of 800 inundated with 20k cannery workers and fisherman, 9 weeks after a series of virals pushed my lungs into pneumonia, mask on, hoping I heal or don’t catch something else before they all leave or winter.

Well… been sick for a few weeks now, starting a course of antibiotics hoping all I have left is a lingering bacterial infection in my lungs.
Did some permanent lung damage in the past and I suffer for it with each bug I pick up. Once it moves south I end up coughing for a month or more…

So, out here in west AK the best pizza in the state was here in Naknek and there was fairly tolerable Chinese food across the Bristol Bay in Dillingham right at the airport. It wasn’t uncommon to pass a friend flying to get our pizza as we were heading to get their Chinese.

I use the Balsam Poplar on some my guitars: back, ribs, and neck.
Everyone called them cotton wood but after doing a bit of resource found they are quite different and the Cotten Wood only grow in one small area of alaska.
Of course they both produce the annoying clouds of fuzz ;)

Ok, you need to get one of those handy tube install tools with the flexible cable.
Pull the valve core and then put a little air in the tube to puff it up. Leave the valve core out Tuck the tube into the wheel with lotsa talc. Pull the valve stem onto the wheel half with the stem hole with the tool.
