Just gonna say it:

I don’t think there is a “touch the hot stove” moment when the US public at large will turn against the right. Not food, not travel, not healthcare. If a devastating pandemic didn’t do it, nothing will.

This is a statement against my personal interests, but: They should all walk out
Completely normal

you could think of insurance as a kind of income redistribution, if you wanted to
My wife and I pay for life insurance even though we have never died. I pay for fire insurance even though my house has never burned down. That's not because we want to throw money at insurance companies. It's because THAT'S HOW INSURANCE WORKS.

So universal healthcare then
Comer: "This is a fake economy. You can't have 1/3 of America receiving some type of free government healthcare and then have another 1/3 that's getting a subsidized rate. That falls on the final 1/3 that's having to pay increased premiums."

Just called. I didn't swear to never vote for Democrats again but I reminded them that we sent a clear message on Tuesday and it wasn't to cave.
In my county, we won 95% of the seats that were up. In Kansas.
So, listen, call Schumer’s office no matter where you live, no matter if you’re registered to vote. Leave a voicemail that says if Senate Dems cave without an ACA premiums fix, you will never vote for or donate to another Senate Democrat as long as he is Leader
Call them:

Schumer (NY)

Booker (NJ)
202 224-3224

King (ME)

Durbin (IL)

Ossoff (GA)

Shaheen (NH)

This is just amazing

Andrews: Here's an example of political correctness gone too far. In one landmark 1990s case, a woman was able to get a court to say men couldn't have pinups

Sargeant: Are you out of your mind? It was way more than pinups

Andrews: Right, we all agree she should have won

You know, I rejected the idea that capitalism is being replaced by neo-feudalism when it was brought up in the last year.

I'm starting to reject it a lot less.

FFS just increase the federal minimum wage & index it to inflation
A 50-year mortgage is a great way to make sure regular people have to pay rent til they die

If you’re a federal worker, por que no los dos
Interesting "if you are poor we are cutting off your food, if you're not we're gonna fuck up your holiday travel" strategy
This administration is pursuing a policy of starving American kids with more vigor than almost anything else they have done this year

Speaking of STFU Fridays
Lawyer boasts: "I am a petty-ass bitch. One of my favorite things to do is drop a bunch of bullshit on opposing counsel's desk at like 4:45 on a Friday afternoon, & then be like, thanks so much. Have a great weekend!" When she does this, how should the court respond?
