Tbh some days I get jaded af. Then I have the ancient cat euthanasia w the owner who cradles & rocks her while she passes. Or the new kitten owner who hasn’t picked a name yet bc names are important & he wants to make sure he picks something meaningful for such a precious baby 🥺🥺

I sincerely think that universities should suspend their productivity standards for scientists and ask them instead to hold town halls in schools, public libraries, museums, shopping malls, and anywhere else and communicate what is being lost with the collapse of the research ecosystem.

While 100% onboard with this, it very much feels like your friends who apologize for their hateful-ass family members, but then don’t speak up when they go back for Thanksgiving.
