✨ Looking to follow K12 school librarians 📚 to share ideas! ✨

Pic 1 - We have used sticky notes & Follett tags (from Titlewave) to make browsing faster/easier. Pic 2 - We created some of our own tags.

More than just face out covers, these draw in readers to learn more.

1/3 The image generator update from ChatGPT is a game changer! It excels at producing both text and infographics.

I recently explored its capabilities and created an infographic focusing on utilizing lateral research to authenticate facts.

Book banning is real and is terrorizing teachers, librarians & students from marginalized identities now. It is worse than it has ever been. If you’re remembering your quaint “Celebrate Freedom. Read a Banned Book” T-shirt, adjust your perspective. You’ve brought an umbrella to a hurricane.

If someone quote-posts you in a way you don't like, just click on the 3 dots at the bottom right & select "Detach quote." Automatically removes my original post from their quote-post. More: debbieohi.link/detach-quote...

I just did this for a troll, then blocked them.

This is obviously how I make friends.
33. No adult is good at making friends. Just go up to people like a kindergartener on the playground would and say you like them and would like to be friends. They will generally appreciate it.

All the people saying support your library and get audiobooks through Libby, yes, do that, but when you want an audiobook that’s not available, LibroFM is legit.

Also, bookshop.org for printed books you want to own.
Bookshop: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.
An online bookstore that financially supports local independent bookstores and gives back to the book community.
