Everyone at this network and the people they represent would lose their minds at the suggestion we have anything to learn from Europe in terms of walkability, bikeability, transit access or even universal healthcare. Much easier to say it must be something about the food.

As someone that grew up in small town Texas, I have listened to a lot of country music. I have traded it for americana and bluegrass as this sums up what has happened pretty damn well.

If you truly wanted to make America healthy you would have to overhaul health insurance, cities/transportation and big ag. A major push for people and sustainability over corporations and profit.

One thing you’ll never hear the wellness grifters talk about is the health impact of air and water pollution from big oil and our transportation sector. How about advocating for active transportation and trains? Maybe because they don’t sell those?

I consider my self a vulnerable cyclist.

I think we all are.
If the "avid cyclists" quoted in the article feel comfortable taking the lane, they are more than welcome to do so, but what they're advocating for just makes cycling unsafe for everyone else. These cyclists don't understand that bike infrastructure should be built for the most vulnerable cyclists.
North San Diego County, where the Vehicular Cyclists continue to hang on and advocate for the removal of protected bike lanes for All Ages & Abilities, because well, they’re avid cyclists who’ve been riding for decades and they’re fine just taking the lane. 👇

What would a TV ad promoting alternatives to driving look like? What if people who love cycling and progressive transportation reclaimed ideas like freedom, independence and even patriotism? We decided to give it a shot. Check out our new video, "America, It's Just Like Riding a Bike."
