I have one of these bootleg Famicoms, only it's called "Smart Child" for some reason. Got it really cheap from someone who needed the closet space. (It has been pointed out that the child doesn't look particularly smart, or maybe his vision is just fucked up from squinting at the built-in screen.)

TIL that Dezaemon, the SNES game where you create your own shoot-em-up, has a hidden message warning about "a dangerous secret" that took 27 years to be solved. January 27, 1994 The beginning of it all Of course, the game hadn't been released yet., It would take another 22 years for this message to become public., It would take another 27 years for the mystery of the secret communication function mentioned in this message to be solved. Secret 3 Joypad Port 1 allows data exchange. This means you can play games you create on a computer or transfer them to a cassette. With a connection cable and communication software, you can create any number of games and store data. However, the connection cable and communication software must be created from scratch, and the data exchange is too complicated to implement.
