Unfortunate. Imagine reading about a guy who got murdered trying to defend someone from Nazis, but then you find out a week earlier he'd spit at the Nazis and broke a taillight on the Nazis' SUV. You'd be like "oh no, he was too rude at the Nazis, I can't admire this cool and heroic guy anymore."
More than a week before federal agents killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, different agents pushed him to the ground after he spit at them and broke a taillight on their SUV, according to newly unearthed videos. Watch here.

The biggest auction site in South America (Mercado Libre) now pushes you to "enhance" photos by adding non-existent objects to the edges of your product, like you're taking the pictures inside some stupid nightmare. Asked this seller why he's using these and he just said "they look professional xd"

TikTok is aflame with "The Farmer's Wife Challenge," where they post out-of-context title cards from the 1928 Hitchcock silent film about a lonely farmer and attempt to make it look like a debauched sex comedy. Personally I think that's loathsome.

A Minecraft ("ClassiCube") port for GameCube supporting online gameplay dropped today, which means today is also the day I played Minecraft for the first time. Requires the Broadband Adapter or one of its cheaper clones of course. youtu.be/E2GYJsumcwIwww.classicube.net/download/gam...

I believe that if you can't post while getting minimal/no interactions, there's something wrong with you. Also if you CAN post while getting minimal/no interactions, there's something wrong with you. If you can post at all there's something wrong with you.

Nintendo keeps making me race an F-Zero 99 player whose name is literally just the N-slur with exclamation marks, but at least it's heartening to see other players going out of their way to make this shithead crash out before the end of almost every race.

RIP Mr. Whitlock, who apparently namesearched the name of his character on The Wire and liked this tweet within minutes of me posting it back in the day. King.

Ever wish (as most have) that you could have your Mario Paint artwork beamed via satellite into thousands of Japanese homes in the 1990s? Bit late for that, but here's the next best thing:

Sometimes I get hit with an Aliexpress recommendation that seems artificially generated to steal my credit card information and you know what, I think this time it's gonna work

Displeased and distraught to report Google no longer works on the N64 Randnet browser, either. As of this week it just shows a black screen with a single link in Japanese, which leads to an SSL error. RIP my default way of finding out if my modem is actually connected. bsky.app/profile/time...

Not only is the Satellaview+ Spirit Halloween back as a Spirit of Christmas, but @satellaview-plus.bsky.social is hosting its first Mario Paint art contest. I put together a little animation for the announcement, to demonstrate that even the artistically-challenged can take part youtu.be/9W3Xvqy9oJk
