Solo game dev. Glad to collaborate.
Making a game about running around. Maybe in a city. Maybe with intelligent NPC and story.

Godot, Blender, Trenchbroom are my friends. But I don't know how to use them.

I kinda start to enjoy it...

Music from Mirror's Edge.

I was kinda sidetracked by learning Blender and 3D modelling at least enough to make simple things in it.

I know it's not too much but I'm glad I'm capable to do some easy 3d modelling, rigging and animation in Blender.

A little level block out and movement polish. Added ability to swing. Also tinkered a lot with materials, textures, shaders, light and many other things.

Hello followers new and less new! I'm a game interaction, narrative and custom tool designer with a couple decades of experience in UX research & design, and I want to work with you!

My game Seasonspree included a Simple English option, and I'd love to help more games incorporate simple language!

What do you mean I need to think about the game style, theme and overall idea before making an UI for it?

Decided to create a debug helper. It's a WIP right now. I wasn't thinking about how I want UI to look like. I had some basic ideas but with urge to create an in-game UI I'm thinking to go deeper in UI research.

Testing procedural path creation for quick prototyping.
Might be useful in some cases.

Added basic vault over obstacle and replaced roll animation with kinda stumble animation. Also tweak a lot of things.

Just 4 fun (and to remember how to do it) made a simple plugin for an Obsidian which downloads previews for game notes from SteamGridDb.

I was inspired after merging several PR for my previous Obsidian plugin. It was nice to return to just programming.

I spent last two days playing Unsighted by @tianipixel.bsky.social and @ironfairy.bsky.social . And oh my it was amazing!

It's a masterpiece. Experimental mechanics, tight combat, responsive controls, great art direction and music.

You have my axe. ABYSS X ZERO will be instantly in my library!

One thing I like that always when you start a project you start to figure about other projects as yours. Before I found out about Autopeli from @ottoojala.com I thought to make a game for my kids.

But then Autopeli showed up and my kids playing that instead of my unpolished prototype.

I like that when you make the game mostly with code you can just run #godot in `--headless` mode for LSP and debugging (DAP) and work from... Neovim, for example.

In my latest small experimental project I have only sounds as assets. All other things were programmatically drawn.
