The NATO member states (excluding the US) should put out a clear joint statement, NOW, warning the US that ANY attack on another NATO member by the US will result in a declaration of war by them on the US, including all military, economic and financial sanctions needed.

Bill Watterson was an artistic genius of the first order.
He drawings make us laugh as they burrowed inside our minds to make us think.
I so very much miss Calvin and Hobbes.
Bill Watterson could do Sin City but Frank Miller could not do Calvin and Hobbes

This is absolutely insane, and for authors who spend years researching, editing and writing a book, to have them flagged as #AI because the infernal thing was trained on it is f--king infuriating. It SHOULD be illegal...but nothing stops amoral techlords from violating ethical and legal boundaries.
Out of curiosity, I just ran a few paragraphs from The Butchering Art through an AI checker and it got flagged: 88% AI. This book was released in 2017, and AI machines were subsequently trained off it. How many writers are getting flagged for AI because of the literal theft of their work(s)? Insane.
OMG - f*ck AI for ruining the em-dash for writers. I use them all the time. Of course, what a shock that AI uses them since they were trained off my voice and other authors' voices.

The red squirrels in my yard don't come out as often as their larger cousins, but are still pretty saucy critters even in winter.

Just finished watching the 1953 movie "Around the world in 80 days".
Wow!
Haven't seen this since I was a wee tike ... and the movie was almost new.
Great fun, but admittedly a bit old. So many great actors doing bit parts.
Had intermission and exit music!
A glorious bit of fun.

Poilievre IS a conservative.

Pretending otherwise is failing to acknowledge the reality of what the Conservatives have become — disinformation-spewing, rage-baiting, pro-Trump anti-vaxxers who support policies that are objectively anti-science, anti-women, anti-LGBT, anti-minority, etc.
He’s not a conservative. He’s a Trumpy. Someone should hook a tachometer to Robert Stanfield’s grave. He’ll be spinning at about 3000 rpm.

I have no intention to visit in person the United States, probably for the remainder of this lifetime.

I will also strive to make my online purchases only from Canadian sources, and sources overseas as much as possible for the same time frame.

Obviously the Alberta Government led by fascist Batshit Smith is hiding something. They don't want us to know how many are getting COVID 19.
No moral obligations?

I want everyone who hasn’t done historical research to read this thread. You’ll learn so much about what the field of history is. And why it’s so so so cool.
When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.
Seems like it's worth posting this one again.
