New in PN: The tech industry will come to regret its embrace of Trump

"A comprehensive anti-corruption, pro-consumer movement would inevitably target the industry and its indifference to the harms it creates. It could be incredibly potent, and tech barons would have no one to blame but themselves."

For now, Silicon Valley is getting everything it wants. But a backlash is on its way.

I see some people emerging as candidates for the Fredericton municipal election and yikes some people don't have a clue about muni responsibilities, politics, process.

Hoping for a robust line up of multiple choices for representation (like Ward 10 already has)

In Australia we put the right to live without being shot dead ahead of the right to own a gun..

Too bad our American politician's thinking doesn't involve how to keep citizens safe over power & money-lined pockets. Unfettered Capitolism & macho individualism at it's finest display with mass shootings. Kudos to those countries who regulate.

We can also expect several parliamentary and police inquires and many levels to check for holes in the system and where, if possible, to improve prevention and response.

Important fact. This was not a single mass shooter who is nuts it was two Terrorists. Australias gun laws worked better than expected. No American has the right to question it gives Americas DAILY number of gun deaths

Let's be clear. When we banned Assault weapons in Australia and brought in sensible gun control laws at no stage did anyone say "We will NEVER see another mass shooting or single shooting death again"

No Australia did not get rid of guns.
They are regulated.
Same with Canada and every other civilized nation.

Happy Hanukkah. It’s a beautiful holiday

First day candles done, we are ready for tomorrow

Things shouldn’t be this hard. Live your life in peace, let others live theirs.

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.

Not sure they found a 'mistake'. They determined that using a different base price would lower costs to consumers. Both are policy decisions, are they not?

E10 fuels have been around a very long time. Doesn't that mean consumers have been overcharged due to EUB calculations for a long time?

He’s a toxic twat. It doesn’t matter what they do to him to fix his outside appearance, he’s not likeable or respected.

He will never be PM. The Cons that have tethered themselves to POILIEVE have guaranteed the future government will never be Conservative.

Keep POILIEVE as Leader. 😉

The Leadership review in January is timed and located so PP gets a strong win.
When he loses the leadership at some later date, the CPC will double down on RWNJ and choose a Roman Baber or Leslyn Lewis as leader.
Remember the last CPC leadership race? The sane centre-right candidate got 16%.
