I find it kind of humorous that the $47.45 phone plan from Trump Mobile has a hidden $17.25 "telecom tax" attached to it. Doesn't matter though. That's just the price of freedom these days.

Several months ago our friends from France were planning to come to the US to visit us. It's been a few years since seeing them.
I had to tell them not to come right now. Our own damn government has made it unsafe to come here.
They had already decided not to chance it.

We're in a rural area. Storms are kicking up. They keep using the word “catastrophic”. It’s not bad here yet but it’s coming. We just had a national network storm chaser van pull into our driveway. I went out and asked them if they were lost. They just said “no”.
Now I’m starting to worry.

View from the front porch. We live in the rural south where this much snow freaks everyone out. The stores get raided for bread and milk and I guess other things.
Lucky we don't need to buy milk. Neighbor has cows and we just climb over the fence and get it right from the tap if we need any.
