Climbing catfish, who knew? bsky.app/profile/trev...
Fish live in water, they said.
In 2024, members of Brazil’s environmental military police & scientists observed a “massive aggregation” of small catfish going up waterfalls in Brazil.

These first-of-their-kind observations of the rare bumblebee catfish likely migrating upstream to spawn were published in a recent paper.

Yesterday a fried asked me to explain "why carbon dioxide is important" after hearing that I track GHG emissions from all of the world's ships. I know he is a climate denier. Do I take it seriously? Sigh.

For you caddisfly groupies, I know you're out there
So very hyped that @nature.com made a video about our study on microplastic in caddisfly casings! 😱🎥

Watch it preferably next to a creek... some of them might want to tune in too. 🍿🐛

These people are cartoon villains.
In case you missed this story, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has the FBI investigating recipients of grants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions— including Habitat for Humanity — for fraud.

In Trumpland, the polluters are heros and environmentalists are villains.

Citibank says FBI recommended that it freeze the accounts of climate grant recipients
In a court filing, the bank said it was informed that the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund was under an active criminal investigation.
