The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Reading “the Street Lawyer” and this is how they described my neighborhood. Fort Totten is really nice, guys!!! And there’s a cool civil war fort!

“If the midterms were today, the Dems would win!” Ok but they’re not. They are a year away. There are no ads up yet. Voters’ memories are very short. Once the ads about the furries (or whatever irrelevant wedge issue the GOP picks) go up, the numbers will tighten again.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Yes, the cashier on their feet full-time should be able to afford rent, groceries, and healthcare with their paycheck.

And the custodian. And the fry cook. And the waitress. And and and.

Jared Golden won’t seek re election in my district, ME02. To all the chronically online leftists saying “now we can get a progressive!” No we can’t. Trump won this district by 9 points.

The “Person who wants a political party to lose describes what that political party must do to win” genre of article is just incredibly insulting to everyone’s intelligence yet it will persist until the end of time

I have lived in Maine 10 years.
It would be great if people who are talking about Platner, pro or con, would say whether they are from Maine or not.

(I am not.)

P.S. I thought that @michellegoldberg.bsky.social piece was quite good.

New rule: unless you have a solid win/loss record and won actual elections (either as a campaign staffer or a candidate) I don’t want to hear your plan for how the Dems can win elections. Show me as actual record of winning elections and then we can talk.

Anyone whose Nazi tattoo and Reddit post explanations, however sincere, wind up sucking up this much time and energy should probably reflect privately about past choices instead of taking us along their personal growth journey.

Look, I was hoping for someone cool, too, but this ain’t it.

So interesting to me that there is a distinct whiff of misogyny coming from so many “progressive”candidates. From Bernie saying “we can’t agree on everything” after campaigning a pro-life candidate to now Graham Platner saying that women need to “act like an adult” to avoid getting r*ped.

California will start producing and selling its own supply of low-cost insulin in January.

The suggested price for consumers will be no more than $55 for a pack of five pens.

Currently even generic insulin typically costs about $260 for a pack of five.

AI companies are spending billions on deals with each other, which boost their value.

This has helped twenty billionaires tied to AI add $450B to their fortunes in 2025.

Meanwhile, an MIT study found that 95% of companies using AI haven't seen returns on investment.

Be warned.
