I live in Maine and have talked to the people in my town about Platner. That guy was only talking to men lol. I laughed when that article came out.

People did accuse Obama of doing this because he did have busses arriving at the caucus. But I was in Iowa for 6 months working the caucus, he had the support lol

There are no paper ballots. You stand in a corner for your candidate. I’ve been to 2 of them, both in Iowa, including the one in question in Jan 2008. And yes that is what this is referring to.

The Iowa caucus at that time was the most importantly nominating contest of the primary cycle. At that time no dem had won the nomination without winning Iowa in 25 yrs

Why do people keep saying this??? It’s not a voice vote… and it would actually be super easy to rig the Iowa caucus lol. Its just not what actually happened (I was there, I physically saw Obama’s supporters with my own eyes).

As someone who has attended 2 Iowa caucuses it’s very possible to rig them. You simply bus in random people who don’t live in Iowa and have them register there. But I was at that caucus in 2008 and that’s not what happened. Obama won fair and square.

Its not a voice vote. Its a caucus. Whatever corner you are physically standing in represents the person you are supporting.

I worked on the 2007 Iowa Caucus for Hillary. I managed Polk county, the largest caucus weight in the state. Obama had more supporters and volunteers at every event in the 4 months leading up to the caucus. They had a better targeting plan, a better data operation, a better everything.
