Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, by Giles Gilbert Scott, born #OTD 9 November 1880. Scott was just 22 years old when he won the competition for its design, and controversially was a Catholic, too. Work began in 1904 and the cathedral was completed in 1978.

Still brilliant, even though the Disc Jockey has started to think the studio records are better.
But when Lee starts I'm A Hog For You Baby, all such thoughts disappear.

David Bowie leaves the seventies and starts the eighties on the Kenny Everett TV Show.
New Years Eve 1979, he did a brilliant version of Space Oddity. Thankfully it was recorded.
