What a mess Welsh RU is in. Maybe some don't see a link between the awful politics off the pitch and the game. However, out of curiosity, I just clicked on an ad for Wales v Scotland tickets and it's not hard to get one through official channels. Nowhere near a sell out!

For anyone who loves Rugby Union, today is Christmas Eve. The World Cup is great but the #SixNations is the pinnacle, the ultimate competition, and the realisation that Spring is on the way.

Fun fact - Lee Dixon, who is on TV as a pundit right now, was only allowed to play football in school PE lessons on the odd occasion each year. We both attended a rugby playing school and football was only allowed during an annual inter-form sports competition.

I will forever remain amazed by those who try to post knowledgably about Stoke City signings they knew bugger all about 48 hours before the transfer deadline.

Crazy that they do the World Cup draw so far in advance but it does mean people can make travel plans. A travel guy I know says sports travel is now huge as people retire early.

England's team for the weekend shows we are all going to have to think again about how Rugby Union works. Itoje, Curry (T), and Cowan-Dickie are all in the 'bomb squad'. The presence and experience they should bring in the last 30 minutes is huge.

Some people will dislike that I kept my X account, mainly for the sports chat, but its currently very amusing how the young, female by-election candidate for the Green Party really triggers the old reactionary Tories and Reform UK members.

Just watched the #Liverpool win. Obviously not the headline grabber but the player I admire in that side is Gravenberch. He's a player who knits everything together.

No matter how many times Stoke City have changed the names on the teamsheet since relegation, there's always a part of each season where they seem devoid of passion. Supporters had hoped that had changed. Not today. Has anyone considered carrying out an exorcism at that godforsaken stadium?
