Damn! that was fun. Murs was brilliant tonight. Not only a consummate MC, but a perpetual ball of energy. He exuded charisma and good vibes all night. I just may have found my new (old) favourite rapper. He hits Newcastle and Glasgow next - go see him if that's your ends. You can thank me later.
Woah. I just realised Murs is playing in London tonite at the Jazz Cafe and its only a few tube stops away from my hotel. Anyone seen him live - should I go?

Down in that their London for the day. Just went and saw Jennie Baptiste's small but perfectly formed photo exhibition on the UK hip-hop scheme at Somerset House. It's not only brilliant but free (well pay what you can).

The Redskins released Kick Over the Statues 40 years ago this month. When their record label baulked at releasing it as a benefit single for the anti-apartheid movement, the band seized the masters and rush-released it on independent label Abstract Dance instead.
