The governors-elect of NJ and VA (Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger) were roommates in DC six years ago?! This needs to be a movie.

Hey Philly! Did you vote yet in the most boring but maybe most consequential election for our state? YES to retain all state judges - they have protected fair elections, healthcare access, and more.

I just swore to myself today that I would dial down my atproto metaposting, but this thread & convo is too good not to share.
In fact, 80% of non-BSky collections are under active development with records written in the last week - 90% in the last month. Almost *no* abandoned projects where more than a small handful of uptake. The ecosystem is ~sticky~. Why?

My local pharmacist just skateboarded past my block. He also gives out dog treats, finds pharma discounts without being asked, and I never have to fill out any terrible online forms. 11/10 cool pharmacy (Linsky's, if you're anywhere nearby).

very excited to share this update about bringing AT to the IETF!

last week we uploaded two drafts to the IETF datatracker and today we heard that we’re approved to host a Birds of a Feather at IETF 124 (the formal meeting towards establishing a working group)

MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing fortune.com/2025/08/18/m...

[The ones that succeed] “have seen revenues jump from zero to $20 million in a year. It’s because they pick one pain point, execute well, and partner smartly with companies who use their tools."
MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots at companies are failing | Fortune
There’s a stark difference in success rates between companies that purchase AI tools from vendors and those that build them internally.

Approximately once a month, I have to tell someone that they should not be using a [Google] Form.

A form is a power imbalance. It says the organizer's system is more important than the respondent's nuance (which is true sometimes!)
