I think every designer should write a love letter to a font at least once in their lifetime.

This is mine: A 150-year-old font you have likely never heard of, and one you probably saw earlier today.

** PSA: If you would like to nominate for the Hugo Awards, you must be a member of this or the previous year's WorldCon, before the end of January.

Which is tomorrow.

Or today, if you are a few hours further East than me. Either way, it's soon. **
As we approach the deadline to qualify for casting a nominating ballot for the Hugo Awards, please check the Seattle Registration Portal and make sure we have your most recent information. (And check back regularly as we occasionally provide new items.)

They’re not fucking around, and major executive action aimed at trans literature could happen as soon as tomorrow. The time to take action to protect trans books and authors is *now.*
Okay, here’s the deal: RIGHT NOW is the time for concrete, direct action.

If you’re following me, it’s probably because you care about trans art and trans literature. The article below lays out my suggestions for dozens of concrete actions you can take to preemptively combat literary censorship.

Project 2025 wants to criminalize trans literature. Here’s a game plan for keeping our stories alive.
