This thread is the type of content I come to bsky for. Magnificent.
Wait wait wait wait hold up. Trump went to LES MISERABLES??? Like I know he can’t even pronounce it, much less understand the plot, but that’s even MORE on-the-nose than Pence seeing Hamilton.
Holy shit that’s hilarious

sometimes you pitch an article, black out, and then wake up 2000 words later with no real recollection how any of it happened www.pcgamer.com/games/strate...
I did Liberation Day tariffs in Victoria 3, and it all went well until the famine in Colorado, the 2 lost wars with Canada, and the president beating a man to death with a stick
But apart from that, would recommend.

Wow. Flight attendants on this Southwest Airlines flight instructed the passengers to NOT fill out the Hawaii Tourism Authority survey and only do the Ag declaration side.
Basically sabotaging HTA's data collection. I've never had that happen on any other flight from any carrier in 30+ years.

Yep. Worked on an affordable housing policy study (concluding they didn't work) when I was at a university econ research group 15 years ago.
Our director basically said "We've been telling them to just build more - it *doesn't matter what kind* - for a long time." Nobody listened to the economists.

Evidence has demonstrated this effect in numerous cities now.
I understand why it sounds weird to say, 'building a bunch of fancy new townhouses and skyscrapers will make housing more affordable!' but it simply appears to be true.

So proud of the great work happening in Minneapolis, which shows that boosting housing supply helps make homes more affordable.

Seeing Elie Mystal actively posting here makes me so happy.

Just saw in Polygon's article of stuff on Netflix that Meet Me Next Christmas is directed by FEAR OF A BLACK HAT's Rusty Cundieff and now I find out it stars a former UDFA from the Detroit Lions??? I am so not the target demo for this movie... but I am also definitely the target demo for this movie.

Just dropped off a package at FedEx and next door was this Initial D awesomeness. The panda Trueno in front was complete with the Japanese license plate. Really impressive detail - in El Monte, CA.
I really want blast some Super Eurobeat move now.

Finally watching The Expanse on blu ray. Pretty confident so far (early season 4) it's one of the best shows of any kind i've ever seen.
As it gets more wild I dread "ok now it's getting stupid" a la White Walkers/Dany, but it doesn't. An ep later: "oh, hmm still interesting and not dumb. MOAR"

Moderation Lists = an amazing feature I didn't know about: people build naughty lists *which you Subscribe to* on MUTE or BLOCK, wiping the bad guys all at once.
Subscribed list then shows under a Moderation Lists screen (Settings->Moderation) if need to change.

It's wild that Meta may have solved Bluesky's main problem for me. The platform's features were better, but without any users... invite gatekeeping kept so many out - I gave up and moved on.
In one fell swoop, crackergate pushed a BIG chunk of fun posters here. Now there's a reason to use Bluesky!

Man, having Lists here is amazing. It's like pre-Elon Twitter, when I could just keep all the fun stuff as actual follows and stash the doomscroll current events/news on a list.
Got so used to the One Massive Pile of Crap on Threads that I forgot how great being able to sort content could be.
