Whately (Tory) walks onto #BBCLauraK and is instantly crash-landing: whines about Motability (which Tories expanded), admits she’s got no idea how many people use it, gets schooled by Kuenssberg that it’s 1.1m not “millions,” then squeaks, “I was making a general point.” Absolute Tory clown parade.

Senior DWP civil servant blames victims for carer’s allowance scandal.

Ridiculous.

People punished for providing unpaid care. Complex rules and cliff-edge limits result in benefits withdrawn for going over by pennies.

Thousands prosecuted. Meanwhile, no one charged for the Post Office scandal.

Two big points:

1. They are not cancelling mayoral elections.

They’re being delayed at Council request

2. They are not ending Jury Trials

They are prioritising most serious cases for Juries. Technical & cases where charges are 3 year max sentence will be heard by Judge

I have emailed my support to the Attorney General. As a Jew who lost German Jewish family and who also suffered antisemitic bullying.

Deets included below in case you wish to support his actions too. I see Nadine Dorries is already name calling him.

After my dad died, I tried to cope by keeping busy: a day job, a side hustle, socialising and working out. But I kept bursting into tears in public. At a Quaker meeting, it was as if someone had turned down the volume of the world

Nigel Farage has been un silent recently.

Having listened to the last hour of @mrjamesob.bsky.social highlighting (using clips of Farage) his clear anti-semitic nature, I think frog face will be apologetic.

Oh - and in 2018 Farage said he had never been accused of racism.

Kemi Badenoch performatively pretending not to understand that the OBR leak had absolutely nothing to do with Rachel Reeves because she has calculated that enough people are paying little enough attention that she can get away with it as an attack line. She really is a deeply contemptible person.

The OBR is run independently from Government. It literally was somebody else's fault.

You'd think Kemi Badenoch would know that given her own party created it in Government, but apparently not
