Highlight of my year ... by far ... has been welcoming Melissa and her lab to the NIH. After a slightly(!) rocky start, we're allowed to hire trainees again, so please reach out to her if you're interested. You won't find a better mentor!

Happy DNA Day! It is a bittersweet one this year since many of us were laid off from NHGRI. One of my favorite memories was getting to write and be in a video with Eric Green where we showed people how to extract DNA from a strawberry. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMw4...

Our primate T2T paper came out in Nature yesterday! It was a huge effort and I'm so grateful that I got the opportunity to work with this amazing group of scientists over the first two years of my PhD!
