Mostly indie and cozy games. On Bluesky I'll post screenshots and creative stuff about the game I play.
Are you sometimes surprised by the environments you are drawn to in games?

We've been playing "The Gunk" in February, a short planet exploration adventure/cleaning sim.

It features lush jungles but my favourite areas were in the wasteland. Maybe because they were visually calmer?

in fact games are unusually well-suited to worldbuilding as a *primary* form, bc if the player is motivated by the texture of gameplay then they’ll happily decide “the plot is whatever i just did”. one of the mediums where it’s easiest to “get a world across” without having a specific story to tell

This game looks red and black,
reads German and Chinese,
plays like a delivery simulator,
feels like confusion and love.

Also: zombie robots.

Spent very fun 25 min in the Demo of #WaxHeads today!
Listen to nice music (Mimi is my fav!), design posters, find the perfect record for customers. Mood appears to be chill, if you need more action, there is an arcade minigame included for that! How do you like my poster?

It's unbelievable that in its five years of existence, Minami Lane is the first management game we play in the monthly game club! Thanks to its five missions, it fits our criteria of being finishable in less than 15 hours. At a very reasonable price point, too! #MinamiLane @dodoot.bsky.social

I made this sketch for an idea I had a long time ago exploring the idea of the famous myth that sharks "smell a drop of blood in 2 million liters of water" and become uncontrollably frenzy.

This scene depicts a distant event in the past history of my shark civilization.🦈✨

In Other Waters feels like flipping through a coffee table book. You are immersed in the vibe. You click your way through the points of interest (pages) curious for what will come next. A story bit? Something to collect? But diving into the details of the page is totally optional.

My rule for playing retro games is that I can only use methods available from those days. I make sure to read the manuals and if I REALLY need a hint I will look up scans of Nintendo Power on Internet Archive. Anything beyond that I have broken the oath. Dragon Warrior I didn't even need The Power!

I made a Stardew Valley mod that allows my custom Twitch stream bot (CharmCrafter) to directly manipulate the game in basically any way I want. The twist is that CharmCrafter is an AI-based bot, so that means I have an AI-based Stardew Valley mod. And that means basic things like... (cont'd)

Decolonizing Play: Exploring Frameworks for Game Design Free of Colonial Values
Modern video games often act out the values of colonialism. What if there were design tools that could help teams take their first steps into a broader, richer world of non-colonial mechanics?

I came up with a Bingo Card to fill in for the games we play. Not sure if we'll have a Bingo after 2 games or if it will need a couple of months! First one to fill it wins a steam gift card 👀

Had a good time with the first two levels of MinamiLane during NextFest. Looking forward for the full version!
Price 9/10.
Recipe 8/10 (statistics pages felt overwhelming for me)
Minami Lane is going to cost $4.99! ✨🦝

We set the price for our little game! It will be cheaper than a boba tea!

Hi do you have a very weird/niche/particular job in the video game industry? Something that would either take you 10 minutes to explain at a party or sound like it has nothing to do with making games?

I would LOVE to chat with you for something. lukeATaftermathDOTsite, thanks!
