Mostly indie and cozy games. On Bluesky I'll post screenshots and creative stuff about the game I play.
You better don't play Pony Island

Everyone that can "hear" that image probably already starts to not hear high sounds IRL 😅

I’m just curious if your post about being outraged about outrage content performed better on blue sky than your usual content😁 I just wished you could feed the algos a mood you are going for in your content consumption

in fact games are unusually well-suited to worldbuilding as a *primary* form, bc if the player is motivated by the texture of gameplay then they’ll happily decide “the plot is whatever i just did”. one of the mediums where it’s easiest to “get a world across” without having a specific story to tell

When I was in my teens I took part in a raffle in a PC mag. They had gendered prizes. I was the „lucky“ woman that won the anti-aging cream. 😐

I read kids mag „funonline“ in the 90s. I remember that they once shipped a Leisure Suit Larry game. At 11y that felt so forbidden that I learned how to deactivate the bios squeaker so that my parents wouldn’t hear me boot up the PC at night. Don’t think including the game was a sensible choice.

Fun fact: I’ve discovered games in the past after going through someone’s trading card list and being amazed by the art. The effort you putting into these goodies is worth it!

My rule for playing retro games is that I can only use methods available from those days. I make sure to read the manuals and if I REALLY need a hint I will look up scans of Nintendo Power on Internet Archive. Anything beyond that I have broken the oath. Dragon Warrior I didn't even need The Power!
