Cis folks: Speak the fuck up and open your wallets. Our trans friends can’t fight this alone. It’s our job to be both noisy and generous right now.
You want there to be a legal challenge to this? Support the one that's already in progress that, if successful, will remove the risk of legal action against Guides and WI, or other organisations, for being trans inclusive goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/...

1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

“They can’t do that! The ADA protects you!”

People love to say this when you tell them you’ve been discriminated against or mistreated for being disabled

Just because someone technically shouldn’t do something, doesn’t mean they won’t

Dealing with discrimination is a part of being disabled

I recently finished watching Star Trek TOS for the first time and something that always made me want to pull my hair out is humans from the past being terrified of Spock. Like, calm down. He is a man with pointy ears, slanted eyebrows, and a bowl cut, he's hardly a xenomorph.

Guys be reasonable. You can’t go round calling people racist just because they’re doing Nazi stuff. That will only make them more racist. I am very sensible and nuanced. Can I have a column in the Guardian please seriously I’ll say anything

Anyone who seeks power shouldn’t be allowed it. At this point, I’d be happy with everyone having a go for a week. We can, I don’t know, throw a bouquet or something.

People are in denial about how quickly they could become disabled, unhoused or food insecure

It can happen to anyone & it can happen in an instant

Folks act like those receiving assistance have failed

That they should “try harder”

The system is rigged. It’s failed us, not the other way around

To put her doubts to rest, Paige Thomas, 39, underwent a rigorous diagnostic assessment with clinical psychologist, Graeme Hart. This consisted of seven lengthy questionnaires and three diagnostic interviews, which Thomas voluntarily supplemented with a full autobiography.
“What if I’m not really autistic?” asks world’s most obviously autistic woman, constantly
An autistic woman is boring the ever-living fuck out of her friends and family by relentlessly questioning her own diagnosis, sources have claimed.  To put her doubts to rest, Paige Thomas, 39,…

OpenAI pirated large numbers of books and used them to train models.

OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.

A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.

when I worked a 9-5 job, part time at a call center from 2005-2011, I was constantly questioned about my absences due to my disability; even though it took so much planning just to get there and back, and to not feel supported. A lot of disabled people cant work because they won't be supported.
