I'm taking another run at the puzzle video game Blue Prince.

This time, I'm writing notes instead of just taking screenshots, and I'm making progress a lot faster. Part of that is having better reference material, but most of it is probably from thinking about details as I write them down.

Six degrees of freedom? In *this* economy?

Anyway, TIL that translational movement has specific terminology: surge (forward/back), heave (up/down), and sway (left/right).

Starting my day earlier than normal (usually) means finishing it earlier than normal... but the brain-fry afterward makes it hard to take advantage of the extra time.

I periodically fire up Elite Dangerous and log a short flight just to keep my muscle memory up to date. This is a totally normal thing that people do, right?

Just because feedback is constructive doesn't mean it's helpful or nice, especially when it's unsolicited.

And "But it's constructive feedback!" _definitely_ isn't a good argument for why someone should be obliged to platform it.

I've written a one page patch for the new D&D Players Manual where I solve the problem of people's campaigns grinding to a halt because they can't schedule a game.

PDF is the link. Print it out. Stick it in your manuals. May work for other games too. #ttrpg #dnd

I just picked up Helldivers 2. The heavy use of orbital bombardments and materiel drops reminds me a lot of playing an Air Raider in Earth Defense Force 5. The two games have just enough overlap in genre and gameplay that the differences between them stand out.
