England water company CEO says long-term water security is under threat.

Customers already paid, companies didn't build reservoirs, dumped sewage in rivers, neglected investment, paid dividends

Now want to charge customers again, not raising capital from shareholders.

End the scam. Nationalise.
Suffolk water boss says new reservoirs needed to address demand
Water company says it needs two new reservoirs and a recycling plant to cope with demand in Suffolk.

The treatment of the hunger strikers by the British state is truly barbarous

they've been convicted of no crime, are being held w/o trial, & have been on remand for over twice the remand custody limit

they've been subject to degrading & humiliating treatment, & are now in a critical state

I totally agree with the Jewish Council here.

I will continually speak out against the Netanyahu Govt’s killing of 20,000 innocent children in Gaza.

That appalling action has caused so much anti-semitism around the world.

None of these people have been found guilty of a crime. Yet some have been held in prison for up to 18 months, far exceeding the standard limit.

All because of the misuse of anti-terror laws.

Skilled labour isn't just about skills. It's also about being "right" for certain jobs. Take bakers. Many can learn the skill, but not everyone wants to get up at 4am to bake the morning buns. So what happens if no UK workers want to do that, but foreign bakers do? Will we say they're not welcome?

Labour needs a new PM with a new agenda. The reboot needs to:
✔️ Introduce PR.
✔️ Apply to rejoin the Single Market and EU.
✔️ Accept austerity doesn't work.
✔️ Accept immigration does work.
✔️ Introduce a new tax bracket for the super-rich.
✔️ Write a constitution.
✔️ Fight disinformation.

If you’re in the UK and were born between 1970-1990 you can just go to your GP and get revaccinated for MMR because you may have had single vaccines, which are no longer considered valid. I went & did it this summer. Easy way to help protect yourself & your community.
If you are worried this is too big an executive function barrier you can go to a pharmacy and they will probably just jab you. That is what I did.

I'm not saying it's necessarily the right way to do this, that is just how much I am not fucking around with the measles
Go to your doctor and get your measles titers checked to make sure you are still immune and if not get re-vaccinated. It’s more and more likely all of us are going to eventually come in contact with it.

By the end of 1997, almost all privately-owned handguns had been banned in England, Scotland and Wales.
It's not that difficult to stop school shootings.
How can you look at this and not conclude that guns are the problem?
